Chairman's Message

Mr. Arun Jain graduated from Delhi University, India, with a Bachelor in Commerce (Hons.) and qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Institute of Internal Auditors (USA).

Mr. Arun Jain has been a member of our Board of Directors since our incorporation. He has over 25 years experience in a global work environment covering private equity investments, corporate finance, buy-outs, capital markets, audit and control.

Since April 1997, Mr. Jain has been Chairman & Managing Director of V.S. Infrastructure Capital Ltd, New Delhi, India, an investment and advisory firm providing investment banking, India entry, asset management services. Since inception he has been leader of firm's asset management practice, which specializes in creating alternative investment opportunities for overseas investors that seek to leverage India as an investment destination. Mr. Jain while at V.S. Infrastructure Capital interacted with top Government officials and Ministers for implementation of power projects. Mr. Jain pioneered placement of debt bonds for Power assets companies.

From 1992 to 1997, as Senior Vice President, Mr. Jain managed the research, origination, distribution and trading of equity shares and derivative products for IIT Invest Trust Ltd, a joint venture with Smith New Court, United Kingdom. Smith New Court was an independent British securities house and one of the largest market makers and institutional brokers in the United Kingdom equities sector. From 1989 to 1992, he served as Vice President of Industrial Investment Trust Ltd and he was responsible for investment banking, custodian services, and corporate finance. Industrial Investment Trust Ltd is also the founder of India's largest stock exchange, Bombay Stock Exchange. From 1987 to 1989, Mr. Jain served as Controller of Kanthal India Ltd, a subsidiary of Kanthal Hoganas of Sweden, one of largest research and development solutions provider of heating systems. From 1984 to 1987, he served in finance and accounts of Binatone Electronics Ltd., a United Kingdom based global company. From 1982 to 1984, Mr. Jain undertook audit and tax projects at Ernst & Young, formerly known as S.R. Batliboi & Co.

Mr. Jain is member of managing committee and capital markets committee of The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), India's premier apex chamber covers a membership of over 200,000 companies and professionals across India.
